Happy Easter!

Nicole and Alex color eggs on Saturday afternoon.

Whoa, Alex, maybe you should go back to bed! The Easter Bunny brought Alex NASCAR stuff, his favorite...Jimmy Johnson. Marcus left for work early so no pics of him. He got stuff for his car in his easter basket.

Nicole's checking it out.

Yeah!! What I wanted most, a baseball bag (pink ofcourse)!!

New cleats, and pink batting gloves. But the Easter Bunny "isn't very smart" to quote Nicole, because he brought her cleats that are too big. Oops!

Trying out the new batting T. She is ready for baseball to start!!

Today we remember

A year has passed since Michelle's Dad, Rick, passed away. When trying to think of something fitting to do on this day, it only felt right to go to Rick's favorite place, Fort Casey, on Whidbey Island.
Many years ago when Mom and Dad bought their first trailer it was purchased (with big windows in the back) for a certain camp site at Fort Casey. This is where I wanted to go. Fort Casey holds many great memories for me in my childhood, as well has my children's childhood. We sat on the logs at the beach and threw rocks in the water. Today the sun was out, it was windy, but beautiful! As we sat there with our own thoughts a bald eagle flew right over our heads. We left the beach to explore the Fort, we never tire of doing this!! Fort Casey has become home to many deer, and we saw no fewer than a dozen grazing in the grass.
It is hard to believe a year has come and gone. There hasn't been one day that I haven't thought of my Dad, I miss him so. We love you Dad!!
