On the 3rd of July our good friends Scott and Laura invited us to the river for BBQ and fireworks. They live across the street from the river, but have a neat little place on the dike, with a fishing shack and a dock. The boys have a great time because they light off fireworks all night long. Laura puts together a good spread, and Scott barbeques some great hamburgers. I forgot my camera so all of the pictures from the 3rd and 4th are compliments of others. Thanks!
Alex getting into the box of fireworks. We totally lucked out on the weather. It had poured down for a good portion of the day, but it stopped in time for the ground to dry out a little and not be too soggy. It was actually a very nice evening.
Nice fire to keep the bugs away, and to warm up by. And later in the evening to roast smores.
The boys lit of firecrackers the whole time we were there. After dark the big guns came out and they gave us a great show.
