Pool Rising Day!

With the prospect of a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend ahead, I got the pool set up and filling on Friday. It will take two days to fill, but that doesn't stop Nicole from doing a little early swimming.

This one is bigger than the one we had before. This is 18'x48". We needed to take the bricks out and put new fabric down. Not sure if the bricks are going back down, or if we're going to do something different around the outside.

She is a little fish. She will be in this pool everyday all summer long.

Time to get out and head for the hot tub. It's not that warm out!

Nicole's not the only one doing Tae Kwon Do

I started doing tkd in early April. I really like it! I tested for my low-yellow belt on May 7th.

I got my new belt and certificate on May 21st.
Nicole is proud of her Mommy, and wanted to take a picture with her new belt.

Mother's Tea and Dad's & Grad's BBQ

May 11th was Mother's Tea at the High School for all the Seniors.

Patty and Nicole Cruse, with Marcus and I. A long time ago, when Patty and I were seniors at MVHS we were really good friends. Who would have known that 25 years later our children would be good friends too!

May 21st was the Dad's and Grads BBQ at the High School. Marcus said it was really good; it was outside and the weather was fantastic!

Nicole's Coach-pitch baseball

You put a blue helmet on her and you couldn't tell the difference between her and Marcus. She runs just like he did.

Coming home.

Concert at Stafholt--May 2nd

As part of graduating all Seniors have to do a Culminating Project. With some help from some good friends, Marcus put on a little concert at his Great-Grandma Eagan's care center. It was all kept under wraps to be a surprise for her.
Having spent so much time practicing for their San Francisco trip, the kids didn't have a lot (any) practice time together. So here they are crunching in an hour of practice before leaving for Blaine.

Great-Grandma was very surprised, and everyone loved the concert.
