Cleaning up after all the work

Saturday the sun came out and the boys too. We got a lot done around the house, including cutting up the old hot tub.

Grr....power tools.

That's all that's left of the old hot tub.

The hole in the deck will be my new deck.........some day.

The new hot tub and patio. Can't wait to use it!!

Sunsets and wildlife

There's has been a lot of construction right behind our house this summer (the PUD is putting in a new water and sewer line) and I was afraid our resident deer would go away. But they didn't! The family of four stuck around. Since we don't have a fence anymore we can see them much easier now.

This is about 40 feet from my bedroom window.

Nicole turns 7!!

For Nicole's 7th birthday we went bowling. It was lots of fun!

Nicole's cousin, Tony's first time bowling. He loved it.

Neighbors Jase and Jett.

Way to throw it Nicole!

Cousin Jake, and Jett.

Singing "Happy Birthday" to herself.

Jake had a great time.

She got a couple skateboards for her birthday.

Taekwondo Tournament

Nicole practicing her step-up side kick board break.

Me practicing the same board break.

Nicole's 2nd, and my 1st, tkd tournament was held in LaConner on Sept 26th. Here Nicole is with her classmate Ross, and our instructor Master Rhodes.

Nicole is ready to spar!

This little boy was quite a bit taller than her and she really struggled to get a point in.

Her tournament board breaking.

She got 2nd for her Form, 3rd for sparring, and 3rd for board breaking.

I got 1st for Form, 1st for Sparring, and 3rd for board breaking. There were no other women in my age group, so I competed against all guys. Luckily for me it was all my classmates so I knew them.

Proud Mom and Daughter moment.

My medals, and my broken boards.

National NECA Seattle 2009

Every year the National Electrical Contrator's Association (NECA) has a national convention and trade show. This year it happened to be in Seattle. So Bruno and I spent 5 days in Seattle enjoying good times with good friends, and having good food and drinks!

View from our room on the 34th floor of the Westin.

Our Chapter manager, Cindy, at the President's Gala.

Me and Claudia at the President's Gala.

Our Chapter had a dinner cruise. We rode the SLUT down to the waterfront to catch the boat.

The wonderful NECA Ladies

After entirely too much food, drinks and dancing we piled into Todd's truck for the ride back to the hotel. There were 14 of us in his truck.

Thanks Todd! You should have seen the look on the faces of the valet guys when we all piled out of the truck!

The party continues in the Westin Lobby.

Just the best group of people!
